Peace Of Mind Or A Calm State Of Mind Is Rooted In Affection And Compassion And Is Sensitive And Responsive To Others.

An Ethical Act Is One Which Does Not Harm Others' Experience Or Expectation Of Happiness.

The Many Factors Which Divide Us Are Actually Much More Superficial Than Those We Share. Despite All Of The Things That Differentiate Us - Race, Language, Religion, Gender, Wealth And So On - We Are All Equal Concerning Our Fundamental Humanity.

We Cannot Hope To Die Peacefully If Our Lives Have Been Full Of Violence, Or If Our Minds Have Mostly Been Agitated By Emotions Like Anger, Attachment, Or Fear. We Cannot Learn Real Patience And Tolerance From A Guru Or A Friend. They Can Be Practiced Only When We Come In Contact With Someone Who Creates Unpleasant Experiences. According To Shantideva, Enemies Are Really Good For Us As We Can Learn A Lot From Them And Build Our Inner Strength.
