The Distinction Between The Past, Present And Future Is Only A Stubbornly Persistent Illusion.

It Is My Inner Conviction That The Development Of Science Seeks In The Main To Satisfy The Longing For Pure Knowledge.

Science Is A Wonderful Thing If One Does Not Have To Earn One's Living At It. One Should Earn One's Living By Work Of Which One Is Sure One Is Capable. Only When We Do Not Have To Be Accountable To Anybody Can We Find Joy In Scientific Endeavor.

E Idea Of A Personal God Is Quite Alien To Me And Seems Even Naive. However, I Am Also Not A "freethinker" In The Usual Sense Of The Word Because I Find That This Is In The Main An Attitude Nourished Exclusively By An Opposition Against Naive Superstition. My Feeling Is Insofar Religious As I Am Imbued With The Consciousness Of The Insuffiency Of The Human Mind To Understand Deeply The Harmony Of The Universe Which We Try To Formulate As "laws Of Nature."
