Had He Not [been Baptized], The Holy Ghost Which Convinced Him Of The Truth Of God, Would Have Left Him.

Afflictions, Persecutions, Imprisonments, And Death, We Must Expect, According To The Scriptures, Which Tell Us That The Blood Of Those Whose Souls Were Under The Altar Could Not Be Avenged On Them That Dwell On The Earth, Until Their Brethren Should Be Slain As They Were.

Hence We Say, That The Constitution Of The United States Is A Glorious Standard; It Is Founded In The Wisdom Of God. It Is A Heavenly Banner; It Is To All Those Who Are Privileged With The Sweets Of Liberty, Like The Cooling Shades And Refreshing Waters Of A Great Rock In A Thirsty And Weary Land.
