This Government To Government Relationship Is The Result Of Sovereign And Independent Tribal Governments Being Incorporated Into The Fabric Of Our Nation, Of Indian Tribes Becoming What Our Courts Have Come To Refer To As Quasi-sovereign Domestic Dependent Nations. Over The Years The Relationship Has Flourished, Grown, And Evolved Into A Vibrant Partnership In Which Over 500 Tribal Governments Stand Shoulder To Shoulder With The Other Governmental Units That Form Our Republic.

We Have Before Us The Opportunity To Forge For Ourselves And For Future Generations A New World Order, A World Where The Rule Of Law, Not The Law Of The Jungle, Governs The Conduct Of Nations. When We Are Successful, And We Will Be, We Have A Real Chance At This New World Order, An Order In Which A Credible United Nations Can Use Its Peacekeeping Role To Fulfill The Promise And Vision Of The U.n.'s Founders.

You Cannot Be President Of The United States If You Don't Have Faith. Remember Lincoln, Going To His Knees In Times Of Trial In The Civil War And All That Stuff.
