When The Only Bond Between Close Friends Is Attachment, Then Even A Minor Issue May Cause One's Projections To Change. As Soon As Our Projections Change, The Attachment Disappears, Because That Attachment Was Based Solely On Projection And Expectation. It Is Possible To Have Compassion Without Attachment, And Similarly, To Have Anger Without Hatred.

Developing Inner Values Is Much Like Physical Exercise. The More We Train Our Abilities, The Stronger They Become. The Difference Is That, Unlike The Body, When It Comes To Training The Mind, There Is No Limit To How Far We Can Go.

Like Anyone Else, I Too Have The Potential For Violence; I Too Have Anger In Me. However, I Try To Recall That Anger Is A Destructive Emotion. I Remind Myself That Scientists Now Say That Anger Is Bad For Our Health; It Eats Into Our Immune System. So, Anger Destroys Our Peace Of Mind And Our Physical Health. We Shouldn’t Welcome It Or Think Of It As Natural Or As A Friend.
