You Can Be Pitiful, Or You Can

Religion Is A Very Dangerous Thing. By That I Mean Being So Caught Up In Rules And Regulations And Not Focusing On The Thing That Matters Most- A Personal Relationship With God.

I Always Asked For Forgiveness For My Sins Right Away But I Never Accepted It Until I Felt Right That I Had Suffered Enough To Pay For It. God Revealed To Me What I Was Doing How Much Unnecessary Pain I Was Causing Myself. He Even Showed Me That What I Was Doing Was An Insult To Jesus That In Essence I Was Saying Lord The Sacrifice Of Your Life And Blood Was Good But Not Good Enough. I Must Add My Work Of Feeling Guilty Before I Can Be Forgiven.

I Had Received Christ As My Savior When I Was A Child, But I Didn't Know Anything. I Didn't Have Any Knowledge. I Didn't Go To Church. And I Had A Lot Of Problems, And I Needed Somebody To Kind Of Help Me Along. And I Think Sometimes Even People Who Want To Serve God, If They Have Got So Many Problems That They Don't Think Right And They Don't Act Right And They Don't Behave Right, They Almost Need Somebody To Take Them By The Hand And Help Lead Them Through The Early Years. And That's Really What Discipleship Is. It's Helping People.

When I Was A Teenager, I Didn't Get To Do A Lot Of The Things That Other Kids My Age Were Doing Because My Dad Was Very Controlling And He Wouldn't Allow Me To Go To School Activities, Like Games And Dances. So I Didn't Have Positive Expectations For My Future Or Really Dream About What I Could Do With My Life. I Was Just Trying To Survive Until I Could Get Out On My Own.

Much Of Everyday Life Is Filled With Opportunities To Be Distracted. Our Possessions... Entertainment... Cares And Anxieties... And Even The Passionate Desire And Pursuit Of Things, Some Good And Not So Good, Can Keep Our Minds And Hearts Caught Up In A Flurry Of Activity.
