From This Day Forward, I No Longer Shall Tinker With The Machinery Of Death. I Cannot See Any Of These Death Penalty Cases Where There Hasn't Been A Violation On The Ground Of Either Poverty Or Race. If We Can Ever Get That Straightened Out, It Will Help. But, Of Course, The Real Answer To It Is To Do Away With The Death Penalty.

We Need Not Resolve The Difficult Question Of When Life Begins. When Those Trained In The Respective Disciplines Of Medicine, Philosophy, And Theology Are Unable To Arrive At Any Consensus, The Judiciary, At This Point In The Development Of Man's Knowledge, Is Not In A Position To Speculate As To The Answer.
