Looking Across This Field, We See The Scale Of Heroism And Sacrifice. All Who Are Buried Here Understood Their Duty. All Stood To Protect America. And All Carried With Them Memories Of A Family That They Hope To Keep Safe By Their Sacrifice.

You Know, I Guess I'm Like Any Other Political Figure: Everybody Wants To Be Loved.

Tyrants And Dictators Will Accept No Other Gods Before Them. They Require Disobedience To The First Commandment. They Seek Absolute Control And Are Threatened By Faith In God. They Fear Only The Power They Cannot Possess - The Power Of Truth. So They Resent The Living Example Of The Devout, Especially The Devotion Of A Unique People Chosen By God.

A Lot Of The Reason Why The Debate Is Acrimonious Is Because Of The 24/7 News Cycles, Blogs, And People Being Able To Just Throw Something Out There In Order To Get Attention. And I'm Not Going Be Out There Doing The Same Thing, Trying To Trash My Successor Or Call Attention To Myself. I Hope That's A Positive Contribution To The Dialogue.
