Rather Perish Than Hate And Fear, And Twice Rather Perish Than Make Oneself Hated And Feared — This Must Some Day Become The Highest Maxim For Every Single Commonwealth.

Every Man Is A Creative Cause Of What Happens, A Primum Mobile With An Original Movement.

Jealous Is Every Virtue Of The Others, And A Dreadful Thing Is Jealousy. Even Virtues May Succumb By Jealousy.

Remain Faithful To The Earth, My Brothers, With The Power Of Your Virtue. Let Your Gift-giving Love And Your Knowledge Serve The Meaning Of The Earth. Thus I Beg And Beseech You. Do Not Let Them Fly Away From Earthly Things And Beat With Their Wings Against Eternal Walls. Alas, There Has Always Been So Much Virtue That Has Flown Away. Lead Back To The Earth The Virtue That Flew Away, As I Do—back To The Body, Back To Life, That It May Give The Earth A Meaning, A Human Meaning.

The Sexes Deceive Themselves About One Another: The Reason Being That At Bottom They Honor And Love Only Themselves (or Their Ownideal, To Express It More Agreeably). Thus Man Wants Woman To Be Peaceable--but Woman Is Essentially, Like The Cat, Not Peaceable, However Well She May Have Trained Herself To Assume The Appearance Of Peace.
