Youth Ministry, As Traditionally Organized, Has Also Suffered The Impact Of Social Changes. Young People Often Fail To Find Responses To Their Concerns, Needs, Problems And Hurts In The Usual Structures. As Adults, We Find It Hard To Listen Patiently To Them, To Appreciate Their Concerns, Demands, And To Speak To Them In A Language They Can Understand.

If, Hypothetically, Western Catholicism Were To Review The Issue Of Celibacy, I Think It Would Do So For Cultural Reasons, Not So Much As A Universal Option.

We Face So Many Challenges In Life: Poverty, Distress, Humiliation, The Struggle For Justice, Persecutions, The Difficulty Of Daily Conversion, The Effort To Remain Faithful To Our Call To Holiness, And Many Others. But If We Open The Door To Jesus And Allow Him To Be Part Of Our Lives, If We Share Our Joys And Sorrows With Him, Then We Will Experience The Peace And Joy That Only God, Who Is Infinite Love, Can Give.

May The Deepest Spiritual Values Of The Filipino People Continue To Find Expression In Your Efforts To Provide Your Fellow Citizens With An Integral Human Development. In This Way, Each Person Will Be Able To Fulfill His Or Her Potential, And Thus Contribute Wisely And Well To The Future Of This Country.
