We Emphasize The Transcendent Worth Of The Human Person. We Insist That The Human Person Must Never Be Treated As An Object; He Must Always Be Considered The Subject. That Is The Basis For Our Teaching, The Absolute Standard.

With The Persistence Of Tensions And Conflicts In Various Parts Of The World, The International Community Must Never Forget What Happened At Hiroshima And Nagasaki, As A Warning And In Incentive To Develop Truly Effective And Peaceful Means Of Settling Tensions And Disputes. Fifty Years After The Second World War, The Leaders Of Nations Cannot Become Complacent But Rather Should Renew Their Commitment To Disarmament And To The Banishment Of All Nuclear Weapons.

Interdependence Must Be Transformed Into Solidarity Based Upon The Principle That The Goods Of Creation Are Meant For All. That Which Human Industry Produces Through The Processing Of Raw Materials With The Contribution Of Work Must Serve Equally For The Good Of All.
