In The Early Days, Porter Wagoner Would Not Exactly Scold Me, But He's Say, 'you're Writing Too Many Damn Verses. You're Makin' These Songs Too Damn Long.' And I'd Say, 'yeah, But I'm Tellin' A Story. I Have A Story To Tell.' And He'd Say, 'well, You're Not Going To Get It On The Radio.' If I Start Writing A Song, I'm Writing It For A Reason. People Would Say That I Had To Have Two Verses, And A Chorus, And A Bridge. I Tried To Learn That Formula.

I Am Amazed At The Response Of My Being On The Show. Everywhere I Go, Every Young Person Points At Me And Says "hi, Aunt Dolly." Or "are You Aunt Dolly?" I Love Doing The Show And I Love Miley And Billy Ray [cyrus]. I Am Proud To Be Her Honorary Godmother.

When I Talk To A Man, I Can Always Tell What He's Thinking By Where He Is Looking. If He Is Looking At My Eyes, He Is Looking For Intelligence. If He Is Looking At My Mouth, He Is Looking For Wisdom. But If He Is Looking Anywhere Else Except My Chest He's Looking For Another Man.

I Always Loved Books. I Don't Remember Learning To Read, It Was Just Something I Always Did. I Was Hungry For Knowledge, I Guess, And Information; I Was A Curious Kid. I Still Am.
