Americans Have Been Dumbed Down To The Point Where More People Watching 'american Idol' Than Listen To The State Of The Union Address. And That's Too Bad. I'm Not Trying To Take Any Bread Out Of The Mouth Of Simon Cowell, But If The President Is Speaking To The People Of The United States, And People Are Going To Watch 'american Idol,' That's Sad.

I Was Raised In Washington, Dc, Very Violent Place. I Grew Up With Violence. My Introduction To Music Was Violent. The Years I've Spent On Tours, Some Of That Was Extremely Violent.

I Can Only Write About Personal Stuff, About My Point Of View.

I Think That Humans Have A Huge Capacity To Carry Pain And Sadness. There Are Things That Haunt Us Our Entire Lives; We Are Unable To Let Them Go. The Good Times Seem Almost Effervescent And Dreamlike In Comparison With The Times That Didn't Go So Well.

The Bible Saw That Can Get A Lot Of People Killed, So Let's Try And Steer People Away From That. I Am Not An Expert On The Bible. I Am Just Saying.
