The American People Aren't Overtaxed. The Government In Washington Is Overfed. The Main Difference Between Ourselves And The Other Side Is: We See An America Where Every Day Is The Fourth Of July. They See An America Where Every Day Is April 15.

Well, The Task I've Set Forth Will Long Outlive Our Own Generation. But Together, We Too Have Come Through The Worst. Let Us Now Begin A Major Effort To Secure The Best- A Crusade For Freedom That Will Engage The Faith And Fortitude Of The Next Generation. For The Sake Of Peace And Justice, Let Us Move Toward A World In Which All People Are At Last Free To Determine Their Own Destiny.

No Matter How Big And Powerful Government Gets, And The Many Services It Provides, It Can Never Take The Place Of Volunteers.

Our Reluctance For Conflict Should Not Be Misjudged As A Failure Of Will.

When Our Founding Fathers Passed The First Amendment, They Sought To Protect Churches From Government Interference. They Never Intended To Construct A Wall Of Hostility Between Government And The Concept Of Religious Belief Itself.
