But Even If You Do Obtain A Solution, You May Then Discover, To Your Delight, The Existence Of A Whole Family Of Enchanting, Though Perhaps Difficult, Problem Children, For Whose Welfare You May Work, With A Purpose, To The End Of Your Days.

There Will Be Well-testable Theories, Hardly Testable Theories, And Non-testable Theories. Those Which Are Non-testable Are Of No Interest To Empirical Scientists. They May Be Described As Metaphysical.

The History Of Science, Like The History Of All Human Ideas, Is A History Of Irresponsible Dreams, Of Obstinacy, And Of Error. But Science Is One Of The Very Few Human Activities-perhaps The Only One-in Which Errors Are Systematically Criticized And Fairly Often, In Time, Corrected. We Should Therefore Claim, In The Name Of Tolerance, The Right Not To Tolerate The Intolerant.

It Is A Myth That The Success Of Science In Our Time Is Mainly Due To The Huge Amounts Of Money That Have Been Spent On Big Machines. What Really Makes Science Grow Is New Ideas, Including False Ideas.
