We Are Not Made For The Mountains, For Sunrises, Or For The Other Beautiful Attractions In Life - Those Are Simply Intended To Be Moments Of Inspiration. We Are Made For The Valley And The Ordinary Things Of Life And That Is Where We Have To Prove Our Stamina And Strength.

The Sermon On The Mount Is Not A Set Of Principles To Be Obeyed Apart From Identification With Jesus Christ. The Sermon On The Mount Is A Statement Of The Life We Will Live When The Holy Spirit Is Getting His Way With Us.

When A Man Gets To Despair He Knows That All His Thinking Will Never Get Him Out. He Will Only Get Out By The Sheer Creative Effort Of God. Consequently He Is In The Right Attitude To Receive From God That Which He Cannot Gain For Himself.

I Am Called To Live In Such A Perfect Relationship With God That My Life Produces A Yearning For God In The Lives Of Others, Not Admiration For Myself. Thoughts About Myself Hinder My Usefulness To God. God’s Purpose Is Not To Perfect Me To Make Me A Trophy In His Showcase; He Is Getting Me To The Place Where He Can Use Me. Let Him Do What He Wants.
