I Don't Think Everybody In Vermont Loves

I Think It's Important That Members Of The United States Senate Spend Time Not Just On Capitol Hill But Making Contact With Ordinary People And Engaging Them In The Political Process.

One Of The Ongoing Crises In America Is Institutional Racism. We Have A Very Broken Criminal Justice System. We Live In A Country Where There Are More People In Jail Than Any Other Country On Earth. There Are Some 2.2 Million People Currently Incarcerated And They Are Disproportionally African American And Hispanic. Unarmed African Americans Have Been Abused And Sometimes Killed While In Police Custody. Clearly These Are Issues That Must Be Dealt With And Changed.

If We Are A Free Country, We Have The Right To Be Free.

Brothers And Sisters: Now Is Not The Time For Thinking Small, Now Is Not The Time For The Same-old, Same-old Establishment Politics And Stale Inside-the-beltway Ideas.

The Future Of The Democratic Party, The Future Of This Country Is Involving Young People In The Political Process, Getting Them To Stand Up For Their Rights, Dealing With Student Debt, Which I Got To Tell You Is Just Crushing People All Over This Country, Making Public Colleges And Universities Tuition Free, Those Are The Ideas We Are Bringing Out, Demanding The Wealthy And Large Corporations Start Paying Their Fair Share Of Taxes. This Is What Younger People, Working Class People Want. That Is The Future Of The Democratic Party.
