Like The Vast Majority Of Americans, I've Opposed Same-sex Marriage, But I've Also Opposed Unjust Discrimination Against Anyone, For Racial Or Religious Reasons, Or For Sexual Preference. Americans Are A Tolerant, Generous, And Kind People. We All Oppose Bigotry And Disparagement. But The Debate Over Same-sex Marriage Is Not A Debate Over Tolerance. It Is A Debate About The Purpose Of The Institution Of Marriage And It Is A Debate About Activist Judges Who Make Up The Law Rather Than Interpret The Law.

I Understand How Difficult It Can Be For An African-american In Today’s Society. In Fact, I Can Relate To Black People Very Well Indeed. My Ancestors Once Owned Slaves, And It Is In My Lineage To Work Closely With The Black Community. However, Just Because They Were Freed Over A Century Ago Doesn’t Mean They Can Now Be Freeloaders. They Need To Be Told To Work Hard, And The Incentives Just Aren’t There For Them Anymore. When I’m President I Plan To Work Closely With The Black Community To Bring A Sense Of Pride And Work Ethic Back Into View For Them.

People Of Different Faiths, Like Yours And Mine, Sometimes Wonder Where We Can Meet In Common Purpose, When There Are So Many Differences In Creed And Theology. Surely The Answer Is That We Can Meet In Service.

I Care About A Hundred Percent Of The American People. I Want A Hundred Percent Of The American People To Have A Bright And Prosperous Future.

Like Me, The Great Majority Of Americans Wish Both To Preserve The Traditional Definition Of Marriage And To Oppose Bias And Intolerance Directed Towards Gays And Lesbians.
