A God Who Draws Near Out Of Love, The Holy Father Continued, Walks With His People, And This Walk Comes To An Unimaginable Point. We Could Never Have Imagined That The Same Lord Would Become One Of Us And Walk With Us, Be Present With Us, Present In His Church, Present In The Eucharist, Present In His Word, Present In The Poor, He Is Present, Walking With Us. And This Is Closeness: The Shepherd Close To His Flock, Close To His Sheep, Whom He Knows, One By One.

Be Present To Those Who, Living In The Midst Of A Society Burdened By Poverty And Corruption, Are Broken In Spirit, Tempted To Give Up, To Leave School And To Live On The Streets.

If We Take The Poor Away From The Gospel, We Won't Be Able To Understand The Whole Message Of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes We Are Tempted To Be That Kind Of Christian Who Keeps The Lord’s Wounds At Arm’s Length. Yet Jesus Wants Us To Touch Human Misery, To Touch The Suffering Flesh Of Others. He Hopes That We Will Stop Looking For Those Personal Or Communal Niches Which Shelter Us From The Maelstrom Of Human Misfortune And Instead Enter Into The Reality Of Other People’s Lives And Know The Power Of Tenderness. Whenever We Do So, Our Lives Become Wonderfully Complicated And We Experience Intensely What It Is To Be A People, To Be Part Of A People.

This Is What Marriage Is All About - Man And Woman Walking Together, Wherein The Husband Helps His Wife To Become Ever More A Woman, And Wherein The Woman Has The Task Of Helping Her Husband To Become Ever More A Man.
