It Is The Process, Not The End, Which Is Glorifying To God....his Purpose Is For This Minute, Not For Something In The Future. We Have Nothing To Do With The 'afterwards' Of Obedience. If We Have A Further End In View, We Do Not Pay Sufficient Attention To The Immediate Present; If We Realize That Obedience Is The End, Then Each Moment As It Comes Is Precious.

The Sympathy Which Is Reverent With What It Cannot Understand Is Worth Its Weight In Gold.

Character In A Saint Means The Disposition Of Jesus Christ Persistently Manifested.

Faith By Its Very Nature Must Be Tried, And The Real Trial Of Faith Is Not That We Find It Difficult To Trust God, But That God's Character Has To Be Cleared In Our Own Minds. Faith In Its Actual Working Out Has To Go Through Spells Of Unsyllabled Isolation. Never Confound The Trial Of Faith With The Ordinary Discipline Of Life. Much That We Call The Trial Of Faith Is The Inevitable Result Of Being Alive.
